Chettinad has a rich tradition of music and dance, with classical forms like Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music being highly revered. Traditional folk arts like Karagattam (pot dance) and Kavadi Aattam (dance with decorative structures) are also performed during religious festivals and cultural events.
Chettinad cuisine is famous for its rich and flavorful dishes, characterized by the use of aromatic spices and freshly ground masalas (spice mixes).
